How do I care for my Passa Paa items?

FABRIC FACE COVERS | For our regular printed face covers, we suggest washing either by hand (to prolong their life and as a more environmentally friendly method) or by machine, up to 60 degrees. For the indigo printed face covers, please use a more gentle machine cycle or hand wash. Iron on a medium heat (synthetic) setting due to the middle filter layer and elastic being made of synthetic material.

SCARVES & SARONGS | For all our scarves and sarongs we recommend that you hand wash them with warm water using your regular washing detergent. The print is fixed so the colour wont run, but in order to preserve the quality of the silk stitching on the edges this method should be the best. Iron on a silk or cotton setting depending on the scarf or sarong you have.

BAGS | We design most of our bags so that the lining can be pulled out and washed by hand. We recommend you don’t wash the bag as a whole, only to spot clean in the areas that need a clean.

TEA TOWELS, PLACEMATS & COASTERS | Made using linen with a cotton stitching. You can wash these by hand with warm water or in the washing machine on a cool setting so that you avoid any shrinkage. The colour is fixed. Iron on a linen setting, for best results iron these items whilst damp.

JEWELLERY BOWLS | To get rid of any dust that might accumulate over time, use the sticky side of lint roller paper or masking tape on the inside fabric of the bowl.

CUSHION COVERS | For all our hand woven hemp covers we suggest to hand wash in warm water with washing detergent. Linen covers can be machine washed on at 30 degrees. Iron on a linen setting.
