Why we love it:

• This colourful fabric face mask is beautifully handmade and most importantly it's comfortable to wear. It allows you to breathe easily yet give you the comfort and safety you've been looking for in your everyday face cover. You can just throw them in the washing machine.

The Story Behind It:

• When the 2020 pandemic started we developed the mask for our us to wear at work and to donate to our local community during our first lockdowns and curfews. They quickly became popular so we made them available to purchase in the wider world. Cover up in style whilst knowing your purchase supports our team and keeps our artisan studio running during these challenging times.

Details:

• They are hand-made, constructed from 3 layers of fabric; cotton on the outsides with a middle medical grade fabric layer on the inside. There is a metal strip inserted in the top edge to shape around the nose for a closer fitting. The straps that go behind the ear are adjustable for a tighter fit as needs.

Care:

• For our regular printed face covers, we suggest washing either by hand (to prolong their life and as a more environmentally friendly method) or by machine, up to 60 degrees. For the indigo printed face covers, please use a more gentle machine cycle or hand wash. Iron on a low heat (synthetic) setting due to the middle filter layer and elastic being made of synthetic material.

Notes:

• Please note, these face coverings are not recommended for medical purposes. We suggest that our face masks are at their optimum use up to around 5 months of daily wear. This is due to the nature of the metal wire insert, it can break if folded and bent regularly. Prints may vary slightly, but this hand made element adds to their uniqueness!
